How Giggle N Grow came to be is worth reading about.....

Giggle N Grow (formally South Glasgow Bookbug) is a project run by The South Glasgow Childcare Partnership Forum which is a Scottish registered charity. The Forum has been running since 1999, this is a constituted group of voluntary members with an interest in the provision of children and family services throughout the South Glasgow area. Members of the Forum come from a wide range of backgrounds and include representatives from the local community, children and family services and relevant agencies.

The Forum has been running Bookbug sessions, which are storytelling and singing sessions for families of pre 5 children  in the South Glasgow since 1999  delivered on an outreach basis within local community facilities.

The Childcare Partnership Forum brought their first early years programme Bookbug to our areas 19 years ago. Our delivery of the Scottish Book Trusts, Bookbug programme has been a huge success with getting families involved in reading, singing and book sharing but the forum identified that the project has evolved and is now  delivering a lot more services for families for example Family fun events, play days and Tea and a Chat sessions, we also have a very successful volunteer programme

This is just a few of the things we have been doing

So we have decided to bring all the work we do under one Banner

Giggle N Grow.

We have also developed a new programme called Move Dance Go, with Giggle N Grow this is storytelling through music and movement its a rich array of Language and imagination
